Sleigh bell Christmas - C4G #265

Hi!  Time is flying by, and it is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  This is our last challenge for 2025!

Our theme is "Christmas sparkle" and here's my card...

I am not a fan of glitter, but I do like shimmer and shine.  My jingle bell is SSS Sleigh Bell.  The bow is Poppystamps Little Bow and String.  My paper is DCWV the Christmas Glitter Matstack.  (This is very old paper, but I love it because it is sparkly but DOES NOT shed any glitter!!!  Whoo-hoo!!)  My BG is navy cardstock that I dry embossed with Sizzix 3D Snowflakes after swiping Cloud 9 Lisa Horton Opaque White ink on the flat side.  My "merry" sentiment is Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut and "Christmas" is from a freebie I received years ago.  The tiny stars are from MS Diamond Star border punch.

Challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Sparkle and shine
Word Art Wednesday #728-729 - AG that's family friendly
Die Cut Divas December - Christmas/winter

Embossed Christmas - SCC #179

HAPPY DECEMBER 1st!!  It's only 24 days until CHRISTMAS!!!

And it's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  :)  Our theme is "poinsettia" for this challenge.

Here's my poinsettia card...

This was a fun card to make!  I used 3 techniques on my green panel. I dry embossed it with Darice Basket Weave.  Then I inked up the flat/debossed side of Spellbinders Poinsettia 3D EF with white ink and 3D embossed the panel.  The original embossing flattens a little, but it is still visible and gives some texture.  And the inking really makes the poinsettias pop!  I added a bit of gold ink to the center of the flowers.  My sentiment is Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut.

I think this is my favorite card I've made all year!!  It is very similar to a card I made while participating in Justine Hovey's 12 Days of Christmas Cards this year.  Click HERE to see that post.  It's card #3 on day 4.

Merriest wishes - C4G #264

Hi!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Today is also Thanksgiving in the US, so my turkey will go into the oven soon! ;)  And today is my youngest's birthday, so we will double our celebrations! :)

Back to crafting... our theme for this challenge is "Cute Christmas" so this will be a fun challenge to play along with if you are still making your Christmas cards!

Here's my "cute" card...

My image is FTHS "Candy Cane for Snowman" digi that's been waiting years for me to color and use it. ;)  I colored him and added a Momenta Christmas Phrases sentiment.  Added a few MS punch branches and a bow of baker's twine.  Paper is Crate Paper Snow and Cocoa, and the red and black are colored vellum from my stash.

Warm snowman wishes - C4G #263

Hi!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  This time our theme is "build me a snowman" so we want to see your snowmen.  Or snowwomen. ;)

My paper is Scrapbook Customs Christmas Watercolor.   My snowman is from TH Vault Winter Wishes.  My sentiment is from Taylored Expressions All Together - Occasions 3.  The middle pane was cut with KatScrappiness Wavy Wonky Stitched Rectangles, and I embossed the Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes snow bank with Darice Crackle EF and inked the edge.

Warmest wishes for Christmas - SCC #178

Hello!  It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month, our theme is "festive wear."  Unfortunately, I don't have an ugly sweater stamp, so I went with hats.  :)

I dry embossed the BG paper with Darice Snowflake Swirl, then swiped white pigment ink over it.  My hats are made from a trimmed Spellbinders Classic Oval die, a handout piece embossed with Cuttlebug Distress Stripes for the band, and the pompom is 3 snowflakes from SSS Build a Snowman.  My sentiment is from that set, too.

happy birthday to my sweet friend - C4G #262

Hi!  It is time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  This time our theme is colouring.  I'm not very skillful in my colouring, but I played around and tried to blend a few markers.  Not very impressive, but it's better than I used to be able to do...

My flowers and sentiment are Honey Bee Stamps Darling Dahlias.  The background paper was in my scrap box.  The sentiment was kind of lost against the busy background, so I added a piece of vellum across the bottom and it really helped it stand out.   I added a few tiny silver circles to finish it off.

Challenges:
Word Art Wednesday #722-723 - anything goes that's family friendly
Addicted to Stamps and More #504 - any occasion (I did birthday)

Inking and embossing and die cutting, oh my!

Hi!  I had some time to play in my craft room and had fun with embossing and dies and made a Christmas card for a few challenges...

Dry embossing has always been my favorite technique.  It just adds so much to any card, IMHO.  But when I discovered adding ink to the EF, I think it takes it to another level.  This is Spellbinders Poinsettia 3D embossing folder that I inked with Tsukeniko Moonlight White ink.  I then spattered some watered down paint, but the cardstock was damp from the ink, so it ended up more pink than white.   The poinsettia is Poppystamps Delicate Poinsettia cut from vellum.  I colored the leaves with a green Copic.  My sentiment is Tailored Expressions All Together - Occasions 3, stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed in gold.  I have made/will be making more like this.  So easy, yet so classy!

Challenges:
Die Cut Divas October - AG with die cuts
12 Months of Christmas Link Up #127 - AG Christmas w/ opt twist (I did AG)
Allsorts Challenge #834 - Traditional Christmas Colors (red, green, gold)
Crafty Catz #702 - embossing
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Christmas (I used a Spellbinders EF)

A little girl's birthday - C4G #261

Hi!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  This time, we are creating for little gals!  Our theme is "for a little girl."

Here's my card...

My little girl silhouette is Birdie Brown.  I colored the flowers and added some Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.  My paper is dry embossed with Cuttlebug Heritage.  My sentiment is Penny Black Your Day.  I embossed it with Ranger Chunky EP, so it's super shiny.

Floral thanks - C4G #260

Hello!  It is time for another challenge at Cardz 4 Galz!  Our theme is "purple and green" for this challenge.  (I don't care for purple, so this was really a challenge for me! LOL)

Here's my card...

My flowers are Hero Arts Layering Peonies Bunch Stencil.  I used TH distress oxide inks, then used Versamark on the last layer for some shine and dimension. (See closeup below.)  I fussy cut one side of the flowers then cut with Echo Park Stitched Squares.  And cut the frame with a larger size.  My sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Framed Anemones.

Be merry - SCC #177

Good morning!  It's time for another challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge!  This month we want to see your cards made using non-traditional colors.  I love my red and green for Christmas, but it's fun to explore other options.

Here's my card...

I trimmed my card base so it is a 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 square.  I dry embossed a piece of Hobby Lobby O Holy Night paper with Darice Snowflake Swirl and added a navy border on the sides.  My snowflake is TH Vault Winter Wishes.  I added some TH Snowfall Grit Paste which kind of looks like snow on it.  (See closeup below.)  My sentiment is My Craft Spot Joy to the World and cut out with SSS Tiny Tags and attached to the snowflake with baker's twine from my stash.
